a) Statements in various land deeds and depositions suggest that Sarah was either the daughter of John Yarbrough, b. abt 1632 and a neighbor of William Hurt, Sr., or the daughter of a friend, Henry Webber. Both men are named in depositions and power-of-attorney documents where her name, Sarah Hurt, occurs. IGI shows her as daughter of John Yarbrough, FHL# 1553934 file, batch #5029377-sheet 23

e) Caroline Co.,VA Circuit Court Records, 1747 show James Hurt, son of John and Sarah Hurt was executor of the estate of John Yarbrough, deceased. See Colonial Caroline, T. E. Campbell, pg. 472.
