NOTE: The Johnson line up to James Albert Johnson was created through known family information. The generation of the Clark Lawrence Johnson and wives and the information about the oldest child from his first family William Henry Johnson and his descendants was verified and proved with DNA. This disproved long held beliefs as to names and relationships. Some of the oral history from Roea Ann (Ryan) Johnson about her in-laws has now proved to be confused and sometimes wrong.

Milton’s estate lists Sally Johnston, Henry, Mary & James97

—————————————

Possibly had nickname as “Sally”

So, it must have been some of the Johnsons heading to Nebr. My grandmother on my mother’s side was born in 1876 in York, Neb. Isn’t that when they had to go live on the land in Neb. for a period of years and it was theirs. Mine came back to IL97

A will posted Aug 16, 2016 on Ancestry by melonb10 states:
“1868 Apr. 16 Jackson Co, IN Order of Distribution of Milton’s estate: Estate value $4,267.55 Heirs: Jennet, widow $963.59; all other heirs received $300.36 each: Mary Barns’ heirs (Evan Shewmaker, Rachel Garrett & Milton Barnes); Malinda Hinds, Sally Johnson’s heirs (Henry, Mary and James); Alah Boothe (husband Jeremiah signed for her), Simeon, Braxton, Milton, Colby, Fanny Smallwood and Thomas. Samuel Lee granted letters of authority as Administrator of Milton’s estate (Bk C p497)

Possibly Mary was married again to a Mr. Barns. Did Milton her father call Sarah “Sally”?
