Matthew Johnson (line 34) age 38, Mary Polly (Cox) Johnson age 38 (line 35), son Clark Johnson (line 36) age 15 born in Indiana, Nathan age 13 (line 37), James age 11 (line 38), Clark’s brother George (line 39) is who Clark’s daughter Mary Adeline Johnson lives with for a short time in 1880 before her marriage to Francis Hardesty, Alsey E age 8 (line 40), John age 6 (line 41), an unknown man William M Cerry? or more likely William McCrary, whose family is listed on the next page. Mary’s brother John Cox (line 24), Elizabeth Cox (line 25), Comfort Cox (line 26) and unknown laborer John Moor Cox (line 27).

Milton Stockdell age 52 (line 33) Farmer worth $1300 from VA, Jennette age 45 (line 34), Simon age 17 (line 35), Braxton age 15 (line 36), Sarah age 13 (line 37), Milton age 7 (line 38), William R. age 6 (line 39), Colby age 5 (line 40), Thomas age 4 (line 41) and Miranda (or possibly Malinda) age 19 (line 42). Simon, Braxton, Sarah, Milton and William R. all attend school. Sarah Ann Stockdell would later marry Clark Lawrence Johnson. This census page is a continuation of the previous page, showing the rest of the McCrary family who lived with the Matthew Johnson family. They are: Nancy McCrary age 39, Eliza J. McCrary (age 13), Hardin McCrary (age 8), Nancy McCrary (age 5), Patsey McCrary (age 1), and two people named Lave: Harvey N. Lave (age19) and Jinsey A. Lave (age 17).

Clark Johnson age 35 (line 13), third wife Vienna “Vine” (McClure) Johnson age 32, Eliza? age12, William (Henry) Johnson age12, and then to add confusion there are two Marys and two James, Mary E age 10 and James W age 8 must be from Vienna’s first marriage. From Clark Lawrence and his first wife Sarah (McClure) Johnson’s family are: William (Henry) Johnson age12 (line 16), Mary A(deline) Johnson age 11 (line 17) and James A(lbert) Johnson age 9 (line 19).

Not sure who all the other Johnsons are. All are listed as non-residents of Livingston Co, MO. Ages as of July 1, 1863.
