Antonia Maria “Nina” (Goettina) Trabucco was the younger sister of Caterina "Katie" (Goettina) Frullo. In fact when Nina came to American she stayed with the Frullos. Giovanni "John" Frullo Jr. age 60 from Italy (line 18), Caterina "Katie" Goettina age 60 from Italy (line 19), Katherine “Kay” Frullo age 27 born in Colorado. They live on their own farm woth $1500. John had 1 year of education, Catherine had 8 years of education, Kay had a high school education.

Coal Camp Christmas. A little of the history about Rockvale, Colorado. A number of the Goglio family went to this school, particularly the small white building on the left. The Goglio family lived just down the street from this school. Rockvale was near the CF&I mines where all the Trabuccos, Frullo’s and Goglio’s worked.

The Giovanni Battista “John” Trabucco and Antonia Maria “Mary” (Goettina) Trabucco farm with the house and buildings which they built. You can also see his 1946 gray Ford pickup behind which across the highway I believe is the Giovanni “John” Frullo house (with chimney) where Mary;s sister Caterina “Katie” (Goettina) Frullo lived. Many Italian farmer/miners purchased 5 acre plots from rich landowner DeWeese. There were so many rocks on the farm when they cleared the land for farming that they built a tall long wall with them. In turn of the century census you can see numerous Italian families in this area.
