Nikki Lee Swenn, 79, of Elk City, Oklahoma, formerly of Spearman, Texas was born on August 7, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Rhomer Tillman Johnson and Minnie Lee (Higgins) Perkins. She went to walk hand in hand with her Lord and Savior on November 12, 2022 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.
She married the love of her life, Melvin Fred Swenn on December 27, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nikki would help Melvin in his custom harvest business, she would cook meals, drive the truck when asked and really just did what ever Melvin needed her to do. She enjoyed sewing, Nikki would make fancy dresses for her granddaughters which they loved getting. She also enjoyed cooking, crafting, studying the Bible, listening to audio books, collecting depression glass and antiques. Nikki loved her family most of all and loved spending time with them. She will be missed greatly by her family and all that had the chance to meet her.
Nikki was a member of Gateway Church in Elk City, Oklahoma and before that she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Spearman, Texas. She also was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Cherishing her memory is daughter, Laurie Ross and her husband, Jerry of Elk City, Oklahoma; son, Shane Swenn and his wife, Jessica of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Tiffanye King and her husband, George of Elk City, Oklahoma, Teagan Kenney and her husband, Will of Elk City, Oklahoma, Jackson Swenn, Claire Swenn and Houston Swenn all of Amarillo, Texas; four great grandchildren, Oakley King, Henley King, Niall Kenney, and Arlo June Kenney all of Elk City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Kerry Johnson and his wife, Phyllis, Tony Johnson and his wife, Marianne, Stephen Johnson all of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Dana Decker of Princeton, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Fred Swenn; son, Christopher Shawn Swenn; parents, Rhomer T. Johnson and Minnie Lee Perkins; sister, Kim McCarthy.
