Florence E. Rustwick, 91, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Tuesday, February 27 at Covington Heights.
Florence Evelyn Oien, daughter of Norman and Emma (Anderson) Oien was born August 15, 1915 in Sioux City, IA. She grew up in Sioux City and worked for the Sioux City school board after graduating from Central High School. She married Elmer Rustwick on October 15, 1941. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1948 and were members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church since 1948. In addition to raising her two children, Florence worked as a legal secretary for the law offices of John McQuillen and Willy, Pruitt and Matthews.

She was active in Sons of Norway, the ELCAW of Our Savior's Lutheran and the Elmwood Ladies Golf Association. She was a woman of deep faith, was devoted to her family and friends, loved to travel and enjoyed playing cards. She played golf until she was 84 and also enjoyed winters in Mesa, AZ after Elmer passed away.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Elmer, her brother Art Owen and her sister Edna Pecaut.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Friday March 2, 2007 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Public visitation begins at 3:00 pm today at Miller Funeral Home 13th & Main Ave, with the family greeting friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Miller's.

Memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
