Norman Olen Dies in Sioux City
Norman Oien, well known Sioux City contractor, died Monday as the result of a brain hemorrhage which he suffered Saturday. Mr. Oien was 50 years old and a native of Norway. He came to America in 1901 and lived for a couple of years at that time at Hudson and then went to Sioux City where he engaged in the contracting business. Mr. Oien was the contractor who built the Hawarden high school building in 1925. He made numerous friends here at that time who learned of his death with sincere regret. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.
