WELL KNOWN CHESTNUT RIDGE FARMER DIES EARLY TODAY
Thomas A. Cox Expires at Home South of City – Funeral Will Be Held at Chestnut
Ridge Church.
Thomas A. Cox, aged thirty-six years, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Cox, of Chestnut Ridge died at his home at Chestnut Ridge at 3 o'clock this morning after an illness of about one year.
He was born in Jackson county on August 11, 1886, and had lived all his life in the vicinity of Chestnut Ridge. His parents were early settlers of this county.
He is survived by his widow and four children, Harold, Pauline, Bernice and Ermil, all at home. He also leaves four brothers, Crawford ad Charles of Chestnut Ridge, Ira, of Kansas, and George, of Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hughes, of Crothersville, and Mrs. Janie Thompson of Jackson county.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. L. W. Collar of the Nazarene church of this city.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 o'clock. The cortege will leave the house at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in the cemetery there.

Thomas A. Cox Expires at Home South of City – Funeral Will Be Held at Chestnut
Ridge Church.
Thomas A. Cox, aged thirty-six years, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Cox, of Chestnut Ridge died at his home at Chestnut Ridge at 3 o'clock this morning after an illness of about one year.

They had five children: Harold G. Cox; Myrtle Pauline Cox; Bernice Marie Cox; Ermil Thomas Cox and Esther Marie Cox.
Thomas Cox died on February 6, 1922, in Washington Township, Jackson County, Indiana, and was buried at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Washington Township.
Sadie May Greene Cox and Cleveland Waggoner were married on December 18, 1926, in Seymour, Indiana.

WAGGONER – COX
Miss Sadie Cox and Cleve Waggoner were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at the Nazarene parsonage, South Poplar street. The Rev. James H. Garrison, pastor of the Nazarene church, officiated. They will make their home in this city.
They had three children: Donald Eugene Waggoner; Ladonna Jean Waggoner; and Jackie Preston Waggoner.
Grover Cleveland Waggoner died on January 16, 1955, and was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, Indiana.

Mrs. Waggoner Dies – Rites Set Wednesday
Mrs. Sadie Mae Waggoner, 84, 615 Mill street, died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday at the Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for two weeks.
Mrs. Waggoner was a lifetime county resident and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Born June 3, 1893, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Martha J. Green.
She was first married to Thomas a Cox on March 4, 1912. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1922.
On December 18, 1962 [1926], she was married in Seymour to Grover Cleveland Waggoner, who preceded her in death on January 19, 1955.
Survivors include four sons: Harold Cox, Seymour; E Thomas Cox, Lexington, Kentucky; Donnald Waggoner, Rock Island, Illinois; and Jack P. Waggoner, Seymour; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Pauline) Noblitt, Seymour; Mrs. Bernice Macak, East Chicago, Indiana; and Mrs. Bob (LaDonna) Edwards, New Castle, Indiana; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Roy (Martha) Murphy, Phoenix, Arizona.
Other survivors include three brothers, Harvey Green, Sr., Orville Green, Arthur Green, all of Seymour; two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Eleanor) Gorbett, Seymour; and Mrs. Hazel Brooks, of North Vernon; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren.
One daughter died in infancy.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Green, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, Seymour, officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at anytime at the Voss Mortuary.
Memorials may be designated for Chestnut Ridge Cemetery Perpetual Care.
