Mrs. Rachel Cox Dead.
Mrs. Rachel Cox, aged seventy-three, wife of Thomas J. Cox, died at 11:30 o’clock Thursday morning at her home at Chestnut Ridge after an Illness of a few days.
She was born June 24, 1844, in this county. The funeral will be conducted from the Chestnut Ridge church at 10 o’clock Sunday morning with the Rev. Charles Overman officiating. Burial at Riverview cemetery.
The deceased is survived by a husband, a well known farmer in Washington township, and seven children: Ira Cox, of Kansas; Crawford Cox, of Chestnut Ridge; Mrs. Hughes, of Crothersville; Charles, of Seymour; George, of Illinois; Mrs. Jennis Thompson, of Chestnut Ridge, and Thomas A, at home.
