John Dewberry Tuck was born in 1807 in Halifax County, Virginia. He moved to Georgia and married Euphemia Moon in Georgia in 1832 and in 1850 was living in the Buck Branch District of Clarke County, Georgia. John and Euphemia had four children. His wife died probably soon after their move to Arkansas where they settled in Grant County. John’s second marriage was to Martha German in Arkansas. His second marriage produced three children. He died in 1895 in Grant County, Arkansas.
