December 12, 1924 - August 6, 2015

Virgil Benton Kilgore was born December 12, 1924, to Fay Kilgore and Emma Vay Armogost Kilgore in Rising City, Butler County, Nebraska. He was the second of six sons, Gene (formerly of Lincoln NE, deceased); Dean (Verdane) David City NE; Gary, Rising City, NE; twins, Wallace (Louanne) Rising City, NE, and Willis (Sally) Omaha, NE.

He married Sharon Johnson Beacham in Lakewood on January 18, 1969, who survives along with Sharon's two daughters, Tami (Bill) Shull and Connie (Conrad) Seiders. They resided in Littleton, East Denver, and Lakewood until 1995, when they moved to Grand Junction to be closer to Sharon's mother in failing years.
