Notes for Ebenezer Washington JOHNSON
Death of E. W. Johnson.

It Is with sadness we record the death of E. Washington Johnson, of Grassy Fork Township, who passed from earth away on Friday morning last. About a week before, during the wet weather, he went to the field to gather corn to feed his stock, and in doing so waded through water six inches deep or more. The result was that be was attacked violently with pneumonia the following night, terminating in his death at the time above stated. He was about 58 years of age. He was a good man and useful citizen, and his death is deeply deplored by all who knew him. He was a member of Tampico Lodge, I. 0. 0. F. His funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Saturday. His remains were deposited in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
