"N. B." White was a farmer in Texas County, Mo. Late in life he worked at the Cabool Farmers Exchange, retiring on 10 Nov 1937. Besides owning land in Texas County, Mo. he also owned a farm in Noble County, Oklahoma, south of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
OBIT - N. B. WHITE ---N. B. White, son of James and Louise White was born in Washington County, Virginia, in 1867 and departed this life, January 12, 1939 at the age of 71 years, two months and two days. In 1888 he was united in
marriage to Mary C. Brown, and to this union was born four sons and four daughters. Three sons preceeding him in death. Those surviving are Mrs. Maud Ray of Ochedan, Iowa; Mrs Ruth Thompson of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Mrs. Frieda Babcock of Osceola, Mo.; Mrs Carrie MacFarland, of Ponca City, Okla.; Eck White of Cushing, Okla.; seventeen grand children and one great grand child; one brother, J. F. White of Cabool and three sisters; Mrs. J. W. Brooks of Cabool, Mo., Mrs. M. L. Brewer of Grogan, Mo.; Mrs. S. M. Moad of Sun City, Kansas. In 1916 his wife was called away leaving him with the responsibility of rearing the children. After they were grown up and had homes of their own, he was married to Mrs. Hayes who predeeded him in death. Later he married Margurite Beck of Cabool who also predeeded him in death.
Charlie White as he was known by all, was a true devoted husband, a kind and loving father. He was honest and upright in his dealings with his fellowmen. In spite of sickness, death, and dissapointment he looked on the bright side of life never murmuring over his fate. Besides the relatives mentioned, he has many friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Deceased was one of the oldest employees of the Cabool Farmers Exchange, having retired several years ago.
The Baptist church was filled with friends of the deceased who gathered to pay final tribute........the funeral held Sunday afternoon conducted by the Rev. E. F. Maness and burial by the Elliott Funeral Directors at the Miller
Cemetery.
