I found his first name as John from the cemetery records of Salt River Christian Church Cemetery in Audrain County, MO.

Settled in Audrian Co in 1831 and bought out Richard Willinghamn ‚ “Stock, lock and ‚ and barrel” for $80. Later he purchased the property of Col Robert Fulkerson, whose land adjoined his.

Henry Shock was the son of Henry Shock Sr. He was one of 10 children born to his Kentucky parents. He married Mary Jackson on 12 Sept 1825.

Some genealogist have indicated that Henry may have been the middle name & John his first. However we have no documentation at the present time.

His second wife: Hannah Cox marriage date, September 6, 1838. They lived in Audrain County Missouri.
