(from Avoca) Jared Tuck was buried here Sunday. Mr. Tuck was raised near Tuck's Chapel and was a son of the late Thomas Tuck. He lived at Peirce City, where he died. He was taken sick Friday of last week and died Saturday. Most of his children were present at the funeral. His wife was a daughter of Jasper Dunnigan who died some years ago. Mrs. Tuck died in 1913 if we mistake not and was buried at Tuck's Chapel. Mr. Tuck was respected by everybody that knew him. We did not learn his age but it ranged around 70 years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Seamster.

Missouri Death Certificate # 28410 has his birth date as March 18, 1849 Arkansas, and death date as Aug. 11, 1916 Peirce City, MO. at 67 years of age. He was a widower, had been a clerk by occupation. Cause of death was Diarrhagenteritis? Parents listed as Thomas Tuck born Tenn. and Susan Hicks born Tenn. Informant was Mrs. Tuck Peirce City, Mo, Burial Aug 13, 19116, Ark.
Undertaker was G. A. Burnett, Peirce City, Mo.
