Book: John and Edward Tuck of Halifax County, Virginia and Some of Their Descendants compiled by Aletha Jane Macon, copyright 1964, from page 15:

THOMAS TUCK was probably a brother of John and Edward Tuck, but of their actual relationship no proof has been found. The only recorded connection between them was his presence with David Powell as security for John Tuck as Executor of the will of Edward Tuck. He came to Halifax County prior to 1749 when his name is found on the list of tithables. He evidently lived once in Caroline Country if the statement os his son is true. This son, Thomas, in applying in 1832 for a Revolutionary War pension, claimed that he was born in that county seventy one years before (1761). However, Thomas Tuck, Sr., as has been shown, was in Halifax in 1749; again in 1756, the records show that he opened on Bannister River a road known as Cowford Road and he also sold a tract of land on Bannister River. Finally, in 1764 he was an official in the election for members of the House of Burgesses. On 25 April 1786 he made a will in which three sons-THOMAS, JOHN and WILLIAM-and six daughters MARY WATKINS, SARAH TUCK, SUSANNAH MALONE, REBEKAH TUCK, NANCY TUCK, and PRISCILLA TUCK-were named. To his wife SARAH he left for her life his whole estate, real and personal. A friend, W. George Camp, was named Executor; he, with R. Wooding and Mary Wooding were witnesses. On 22 September 1788 this will was probated, so THOMAS TUCK probably died in that year.
