Lucinda Stine, daughter of Martha (née Turpin) and Absalom Stine, senior, was born in Sangamon County, Illinois, where her parents married in 1833 and her family was enumerated in 1840. By 1850, the Stine family moved to McLean County, Illinois.
Lucinda "Stiens" and Frederick Everly were married on 22 October 1854 in Christian County, Illinois. (Lucinda's sister Elizabeth had married Frederick's brother David in 1852 in Sangamon County.) Lucinda and Frederick Everly were enumerated in 1860 in Shelby County, Illinois. He was a mill hand.
The Lucinda and Frederick Everly family moved in the mid-1860s to Polk County, Missouri. Lucinda reportedly died there in 1870. Her husband and their three sons were enumerated in that county on 16 July 1870. Frederick Everly remarried on 20 September 1870 (to Elizabeth A. Sechler), and on 12 December 1872 (to Ellen Tuck)—both times in Polk County.
