After her husband died, Nancy Standley moved from Lincoln Co. to Polk Co, MO near Brighton joining her son Joseph in 1838.397

—————————————

After the death of her husband Cary in Lincoln Co, MO. 1836, Nancy at some point moved to Brighton, Polk Co, MO to be near her son Joseph and his family, who had settled there about 1838. Son’s Hiram and William also went to Polk, then William went to neighboring Greene Co, MO. Between 1836 and 1838 or 1839 Nancy could have been with her son’s Thomas and/or Cary Jr, they were Boone Co MO by 1835-36. Or the whole family could have been traveling together and after Cary’s death, Nancy sister Lucy was married to Cary’s brother Edward.
Lemon Cemetery in Polk Co MO is located on the Artz Farm, 1 1/2 miles S.E. of Graydon Springs. Or on the Frank Artz farm between Walnut Grove and Morrisville. LOcation from Bev Allen who believes both descriptions are close.21
