Notes for Marguerite Frances KEENE
Marguerite Frances Goglio
November 27, 1919 – March 29, 2018
San Jose

Marguerite Goglio was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. Born and raised in Macon, Georgia, she married and made her way west spending her last 60 years in California. Whether she knew you from Georgia, Colorado, or California – whether she was related to you by blood, marriage, or coincidence – if you were a part of her life you were in her heart, enjoying her hospitality, intellect, and kindness. To the end she was politically astute and civically engaged.

Marguerite is predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, brothers Emory and Elmer, and all of her Goglio in-laws. She is survived by her loving children Joe (Linda), Tom, Mary (Jane), granddaughters Sandy and Joanna, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

The Goglio family would like to extend gratitude to Marguerite's caretakers, in particular Lina, for her attentive and loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Her life will be celebrated by a mass at Transfiguration Church in San Jose, 10:00 on Saturday, June 2nd with a reception to follow.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
