The Rev Guy C Friley superintendent of the Northern District of Fire Baptized Holiness Churches secretary of the General Church Board and former pastor of numerous churches in this area' died Saturday in Bethany Medical Center in Kansas City He was 65 years old and had been pastor of Fire Baptized Holiness Churches in Cherryvale Coffeyville Altamont Fredonia Bartlesville Okla and Ashland Ore He had served a Fire Baptized Holiness church in Kansas City Kan the past 13 years He lived at 727 Miami Kansas City Kan The Rev Friley previously served on the Board of Examination for License of the church He was born on June 10 1908 in rural Cherryvale a son of Aaron and Lola (Simpson) Friley He and Edith Root were married on May 18 1930 in Cherryvale and she survives at the home A daughter Lois is the wife of the Rev Robert Allen pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Camas Wash Also surviving are two brothers Ralph of Tampa Fla and Eugene of St Louis two sisters Mildred Winkler of LaVerne Calif and Dorothy Mathews of Vista Calif and five grandsons His parents and three brothers are deceased Services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday in the Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Cherryvale conducted by the Rev James Beddow of Independence and burial will be in Cherryvale Fairview Cemetery The Burns Funeral Home of Cherryvale is in charge
