Irene Hindman, 82, Services Friday

Funeral services for Irene Cordelia Hindman, 82, of La Junta, are 2PM Friday at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Maynard Bowen of Prairie Bible Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation is 10AM to 7PM Thursday at Peacock Larsen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hindman died Tuesday at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 27, 1917 in McCracken, Kansas to Humphrey and Zelpha (Johnson) Roser.

She graduated from high school in Healy, Kansas, then moved to Pueblo in 1935. She married Roy T. Hindman September 27, 1939 in Rocky Ford. Following their marriage the couple resided in Swink and Rocky Ford before moving to La Junta.
She is survived by a son of La Junta; three daughters of La Junta; a brother of La Junta; two sisters of Yoder and Pueblo; four sisters-in-law: Vada Phillips of La Junta, Beatrice Lee of Lorraine, Texas, Linnie Hindman of Abilene, Texas, and Elleda Young of Quanah, Texas; 11 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy, in 1970; three brothers; two sisters; one infant son; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Peacock Larsen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
