17. 15 Nov 1816 Scott County Tennessee. James Nash remembers acquiring land from father Joseph Johnson through his son Matthew. He recounts that Indians took son Matthew, Joseph and Rebecca “by the Northern Tribes for many years.” Matthew at length escaped and returned hom. Father Joseph wanted his other two children Joseph & Rebecca he would give more land to son Matthew. Matthew was successful in rescuing his two siblings. 8 Aug 1801 nothing in writing. Sometime later, father Joseph became suddenly sick and died intestate. Lots more but very hard to read. 3rd page addendum James Nash affirms previous document. Signed by Justice McMcKinney.
