RICHARD G. YOUNG
Funeral services for Richard G. Young Sr., 45, of Reliance were held Saturday at the Rogan Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Robert Hawes of First Methodist church conducted the rites and burial was in Mountain View cemetery.
Pallbearers were co-workers of Mr. Young at Intermountain Chemical plant at Westvaco. They were Max Dolenc, John Majhanovich, David Petrie, John Starkovich, Pete Turcato and Tony Zampedri.
Mr. Young suffered a heart attack while at work at Westvaco Monday and died while being brought by ambulance to the hospital in Rock Springs.
Richard Garvis Young was born Nov. 21, 1912 in Houston, Texas. He had been a resident of the Rock Springs area for 23 years.
Survivors are his widow, Ann Kovach Young; two sons, Richard Young Jr. who is serving with the navy and who came to Rock Springs when advised of his father's death, and Ronnie Young, at home. Two brothers, Paul Young of Trinity, Texas, and Clyde Young of Houston also survive.

ANN “ANNIE” YOUNG
POCATELLO, Idaho—Funeral services for Ann “Annie” Young were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001 at 3 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk St., Rock Springs. Burial was in the Rock Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Young, 88, of Pocatello, Idaho, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 at a local medical center.
She was born March 14, 1913 at Reliance to Josef and Francis Berk Kovach. She attended schools in Reliance and resided there until April 1998, when she moved to Pocatello to live with her son.
She married Richard G. Young Oct. 9, 1938 at Manila, Utah. He preceded her in death in September of 1958.
In her early married years she was employed as a housekeeper in the Rock Springs area and was a cook in the Kimberly Manor Care Center and Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. Her pursuits included baking and gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and wife Lora Young of Pocatello and Ronald “Bird” and wife Frances of Rock Springs; five grandchildren, Rodney, David, Lori Ann, Rick and Tina Marie; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Kovach of Rock Springs; and one sister, Jennie Brower of Yakima, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
