He married (1)Sarah Catherine Giddens, 19 Aug. 1866 at Murray, Georgia in the Brakebill Methodist Chapel. There were ten children from this marriage, nine known: Walter, John Reagan, Ella Rhodes, Quintin Wright, Martin Luther, Berith, Bowman, Emma Esther, and Andrew Jackson.
He married (2) Lauretta Mae Woodford, 12 Sept. 1899 at Waldron, Arkansas. There were eight children from this marriage, seven known; Lelia Josephine, Melville Clarence, Ira Glenn, Easter Lily, Claudius Spencer, Theo Orville and Karl Grenville.
