Notes for Gustavus HENDRICK
He served as a State Representative (1823-1825) and a State Senator (1826-1827) for Jones County, Georgia. He served as a State Senator (1841-1843) for Butts County, Georgia.

He moved to Butts County, Georgia in 1827 and made his first home on McDonough Road. This burned and he moved to the shoals of Tussahaw Creek, seven miles from Jackson. He owned a large farm and built Hendrick's Mill which was burned during Sherman's March to the Sea. Remnants remained in 1976.

He was a Brigadier General of the Georgia Militia from 1836-1841.

His wife was Patsy Hurt B: May 18,1797 Hancock County, Georgia D: Brundidge, Pike County, Alabama.
