“Rosetta Estella Johnson, age 88 of Chula, died Wednesday, March 29, 1995 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born March 7, 1907 in Linn County, the daughter of John and Sarah Margaret Heisel Wingate. On July 2, 1936, she married Clifton Johnson. He preceded her in death in 1977. Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Chula area all of her lifetime. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chula Baptist Church.
Survivors include a niece, Bonnie Joe Coffman of Des Moines, Iowa; two nephews, Dale Constant of Newton, Iowa and John R. Raney of El Cajon, Calif.; three cousins, Mae Price of Linwood, Ill., and Dorothy Watts and Mary Wickizer, both of Trenton; and 16 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Constant and Lola Cornwell.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 1995, at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery in Chula." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, March 30, 1995
