G"Mrs. Leigh Johnson, 76, RFD 5, died at 6:15 Friday morning at the Eastview Manor Nursing Home in Trenton.
Born on Oct. 27, 1898, in Harrison County, she was a daughter of John Robertson and Maude Rivers Robertson. In 1917 she was married in Trenton to Wilbur J. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson farmed all their married life in Livingston and Grundy Counties. For the last 15 years, they lived at their present farmhouse, three miles north of Chillicothe on Highway 65.
Besides her husband of the home, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Runnells of Hayward, Calif., Mrs. Cleo Lame of Trenton, Mrs. Roy Spade of Vallejo, Calif., and Mrs. Nelson Bostow of Hannibal; five sons, Arthur Johnson of Columbus Junction, Ia., Frosty Johnson of Buena Park, Calif., J. W. Johnson of Davenport, Ia., Gene Johnson of Trenton and Herman Johnson of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Arbuckle of Trenton and Mrs. Gertrude Robinson of Livermore, Calif.; two brothers, Chester Robertson of Richmond, Calif., and Athel Robertson of Lamar; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel of the Blackmore-Whitaker Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Lawrence Hammond. Burial will be in the family lot in the Shelburne Cemetery southwest of Trenton." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, September 6, 1975
