HAYFIELD -- The funeral for Danny Michael Ryan, 21, of rural Hayfield, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Evanger Lutheran Church in Sargeant. The Rev. Delbert Ring will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
He died of cancer Monday afternoon at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
Born Jan. 15, 1973, in Freehold, N.J., he attended schools in Burlington, N.J., and was a graduate of Hayfield High School. He had won blue and gold medals in the Special Olympics, and had been employed at ABC Industries, ARC, and Fieldcrest Nursing Home in Hayfield. He was a member of Evanger Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his parents, Danny M. and Debra Ryan of Hayfield; two brothers, Robert and Shawn, both of Hayfield; paternal grandparents, Martin and Leona Kelly of Independence, Mo.; and maternal grandmother, Maryann Barth of Freehold, N.J. His grandfathers preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Vernon Funeral Home in Hayfield and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
