1776 served 3 months in Captain Scott's Company in Colonel Huckley's regiment
fall of 1776 served 3 months in Capt Boal's company in Colonel Purdy's regiment
while resident of Mifflin County, Pennsylvania he enlisted and served as private with the Pennsylvania troops as follows: In the winter of 1777 served 3 months in Captain Matier's company in Colonel Purdy's regiment.
In fall of 1778, served 3 months in Captain McClellan's company in Colonel Purdy's regiment.
In the fall of 1779 served 15 days in Captain Robertson's company.
In the fall of 1779 he served five weeks in Captain Mather's company in Colonel Chamber's regiment
He was allowed a pension on his application executed Sept 10, 1832 at which time he was 80 years of age and was living in Washington County, Tennessee. He died April 6, 1837, leaving a widow but her name is not given.

Sept 5, 1928, 2241 Cunlew?, San Diego, California, Mrs Fleeta Jones sent letter to pension commission so she could join DAR.
