David Wilde Dies at 85

David Ferrel Wilde, 85, 1412 Main, Reliance, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Ogden, Utah, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 14, 1904 in Cumberland, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Wilde. He attended schools in Cumberland and married Lovean Blacker in Cumberland July 17, 1924.

She preceded him in death May 24, 1984.

He was a retired coal miner for the Union Pacific Coal Company and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include three children, Mrs. Nick (Loretta) Skorup of Rock Springs, Mrs. James (Willitta) Besso of Ogden and Doral Wilde of Reliance; three brothers, Gordon Wilde and Paul Wilde, both of Salt Lake City, and Bryan Wilde of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Joy) Hopkins of Croydon, Utah, and Mrs. Clem (Ada) Eyre of Lyman; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, a son and a daughter who died in infancy.

Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Vsse Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel, 154 Elk St., Monday afternoon and evening until 8 p.m. and Tuesday until time of services.
