MRS. ELLA COX EXPIRES TODAY
Mrs. Ella Cox, age sixty-nine 320 East Street, died at 9 o'clock this morning at Schneck Memorial Hospital following an illness of three days' duration with complications of diseases.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Voss Mortuary with the Rev. Albert Schmitt pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, and the Rev. Stephen C. Johnson, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, in charge. Burial in Driftwood Cemetery. [NOT Driftwood Twp.]
Mrs. Cox was born on December 19, 1870, at Surprise, the daughter of Henry and Minerva Ferren Carr. She was married to John Wheeler [22 Oct. 1891] and later was married on January 31 1898, to John A. Cox, who died on December 20, 1925.
Mrs. Cox was a member of the Driftwood Friends Church and enjoyed the acquaintance and esteemed of a host of friends who mourn her death.
A daughter, Mrs. Lula Wheeler McDonald and a son, Ezra Cox, preceded her in death.
Two daughters, Miss Georgia Cox, a teacher in the Seymour schools, and Mrs. Ina Myers, of Indianapolis; a brother, John Carr, of Hayden and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Smith, of Surprise and Mrs. Clara Montgomery of Indianapolis and four grandchildren survive.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after noon Sunday.
