Said to be a daughter of Jacob Brown (1736-1785), one of the first settlers of the Watauga Settlement in Tennessee (first white settlement west of the Allegheny Mountains) and founder of Brown's Settlement.

No grave marker found but assumed to be buried beside or near her husband who predeceased her four years. A family tree says they both died in Washington County, Illinois.
