BARNES, OWEN GLENNIE, age 95 of Joelton, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army 33rd Calvary Division during World War II, a member of Turtletown Missionary Baptist Church and also a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Vonore Masonic Lodge #658 for 65 years and a member of Grand Lodge & Scottish Rite of Nashville.

Preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Brakebill Barnes; brothers, Ward, Quinton & Miller Barnes; sister, Vellia Fields. Survived by daughter, Becky Barnes Woodard, and husband Terry; granddaughter, Jennifer Woodard Sharp and husband James; great-grandchildren, Colton & Christian Sharp; sisters, Mickie Venable & Ruby Barnes; sister-in-law, Ada Barnes; nieces, Brenda Freels and husband Gene, JoAnn McClain and husband Rick, Desiree Venable, Denise Watlington & Aleta Eskridge; nephews, Louis Venable & Kenneth Boatwright.

Graveside Service and interment 10:00 a.m. Tuesday April 2, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery, in Madisonville, Rev. Chad Schaffer officiating. Masonic service 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, TN. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home and 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 1 at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
