Notes for William Monroe VANCE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Monroe Vance, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born on December 7, 1939, in Bevier, Missouri, William's life was a testament to love, service, and cherished moments.

William proudly served his country in the Army and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Rhonda Wilson, and son-in-law, David Wilson. William took immense pride in his granddaughters, Kristina Hanna, Danielle and William Hurt, and Melissa Wilson, and found joy in his great-grandchildren, Levi and Morgen Hanna, and William and Cheyanne Hurt. A man of simple pleasures he enjoyed fishing and casual strolls with his loyal companion Precious. He will be missed.

Graveside service, with full military honors, will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.

On Find A Grave.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
