Donnie Eugene Tuck, 75, of Sterling passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 in Greeley, CO. He will be laid to rest privately at Riverside Cemetery with a celebration of life held at a later date. Public visitation will be Sunday, March 28, 4:00 to 6:00 pm and Monday, March 29, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Don was born on November 26, 1945 near Camargo, OK to Roy Donathan and Sarah Jane (Littlejohn) Tuck. He attended schools there and in Delta, CO. He married Mary Ann Padilla on March 6, 1965 in Sterling. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. Don grew up on farms and enjoyed riding horses. He moved to Sterling to work for Yost Construction as a teenager. During his 40 years as a concrete foreman, he oversaw the building of dozens of local structures, including the library and police station at Centennial Square and the Sterling Correctional Facility. He liked to hunt and fish and spent many summer weekends trolling for walleye in lakes throughout Colorado and Nebraska. Don loved Western shows and movies and country music, his heroes being John Wayne, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. He collected guns and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Sarah, brothers Leroy, Keith and Matthew, sisters Fern (Shrum) Kellner and Norma Lee (Tuck) Baker, and his daughter Valerie Kay Tuck. Don is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Sterling and her family; children Don (Karen) Tuck, Jr., of Bristol, VA, Tammy (Bruce Falconer) Tuck of Washington, DC; grandchildren Donathan Tuck of New York, NY, Derek (Jama) Tuck of Charleston, SC, and Katie (Julian Huguet) Tuck of Los Angeles, CA; and his brother Joseph Tuck Woodward, OK.
