Obituary as follows:

"Nolan James Tuck, 85, passed away on April 3, 2005. He died peacefully in the company of his family.

Dad was born June 22, 1919, in St. Anthony, Idaho. He was the second child of Rosella Archibald and Eldridge A. Tuck.

Growing up on a farm in Chinook with his three brothers and three sisters provided a lot of happy memories and a strong work ethic. He had his first paying job as a turkey herder at age 6 and continued working many jobs to earn money to buy his own 160-acre farm before he graduated from high school.

Dad was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many ward and stake positions.

Nolan married Marie Troxel on Oct. 28, 1938, in Havre. They were blessed with one daughter before Marie passed away May 1941.

Nelda Pedersen came into his life after he moved to Ogden, Utah, with his daughter to work. They were married on July 31, 1942, in the Logan Utah Temple. Blessings continued with five additional daughters and two sons.

Dad served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II in a special unit training pilots.

For 29 years, Dad was a well-known and respected businessman in the retail drug store industry. His career included managing stores for Payless, Sav-On and Super Save Drugs.

Dad was active in the Helena community, serving as president in both Kiwanis and PTA, and through his business supported many local schools and charities.

A dream came to fruition in 1968, when Dad, Mom and the kids opened the Ambassador Toy and Gift store, and later expanded to Ambassador Drug and Gift. It doesn't happen in many families, but each child had the opportunity to work with Dad. It was during those long hours at the stores where we learned the lessons about honesty, hard work, sacrifice, kindness and charity to others.

After suffering for years from cancer, Mom passed away in November 1973.

Dad sold his business prior to marrying Lillith Jones on Aug. 10, 1976. They made their home in Brigham City, Utah, where he enjoyed his large garden, fruit trees and flower gardens. He was very clever at making and building things in his wood shop.

They served two temple missions in the Ogden Utah Temple. Lil passed away in February 2000.

Dad is survived by his sisters, Lola Keyes, Ogden, Utah; Shirley Beth (Dan) Stokes, Paulden, Ariz.; eight children: Arlene (Fred) Norton, Vancouver, Wash.; Armelia (Gordon) Johnson, Taylor, Utah; James Tuck, Helena; JeNae (Dennis) Lay, Helena; Carol (Tony) Smith, Helena; Wayne (Theresa) Tuck, Johnstown, Pa.; Linda (Grant Emo) VanderVeur; Salt Lake City; and Diane Tuck, Brigham City; and 27 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held in Brigham City, April 6. Interment will be in Farmington City Cemetery, Farmington, Utah.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
