Herb was the son of Holley and Rosie (Turner) Comstock. He graduated from Union Valley High School in 1940. He was a longtime member of the Westside Baptist Church in Antlers. Herb was a retired Farmer. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Elizabeth Pounds Moore on Jan. 22, 1958 at Las Vegas, NV and Francine Drues Hensley on Oct. 27, 1995 at Antlers, OK. He is survived by his wife, Francine; children, Ray Comstock and wife Mary of Columbia, MO, David Comstock of Antlers, OK and Debbie Comstock of Antlers, OK; step sons, Gene Hensley and wife Jane of Lawton, OK, George Hensley and wife Lorraine of Shawnee, OK, Kenneth Hensley and wife Pam of Alamogordo, NM and Billy Hensley and wife Ann of D'Iberville, MS; grandchildren, Tanya and Tammy Comstock; 12 step grandchildren; brothers, Holley Comstock Jr. andHoyt Comstock of Pixley, CA; and sister Inez Cherry of Arroyo Grande, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elizabeth. Services will be held Monday, March 1, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Westside Baptist Church in Antlers, OK. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester.
