Her family was part of the Quaker faith that went by the Julian calendar which started March. The 6th month of the Julian calendar year is August.
There seems to be a discrepancy on the birth year. If I or anyone else can fine the correct answer after 300 and some years would be extra nominal. I want to thank Claudia Strock for her pointing this out, and keep up the good work.
Mary CLAYTON, twin of Elizabeth, was born 29 6th month 1665 Rumboldswyke, Sussex, England. She declared marriage intentions the second time at Chester MM, PA 1 11th month 1682 with John BEALS (1660-1726). Their actual marriage probably took place within the following month.
The Clayton family arrived on August 16, 1677 on the ship KENT, from England.
Spouse: John Jacob Beals (1650-1726)
Children: William (1687-1742) Jacob (1689-1789) Grace 1697-1698)
