Elgin. Johnston

Elgin H. Johnston, 75, a resident of Pueblo for the last six years, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday at Pueblo following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Johnston had been a resident of Clifton for two years prior to moving to Pueblo. He had also lived in Mancos.

Mr. Johnston was born March 23.1896. at Alma, N. M. He married Helen McLaughlin in Chico, Calif. She died in 1961 in Clifton.

He is survived by three sons. Ted, of Farmington, N.M., James, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Perry, of Milpitas, Calif.: one stepson, Bob Irvin, of Albuquerque: one daughter, Peggy Johnston. in California: one step daughter, Margaret Ramsey of Winslow, Ariz.: one brother. two sisters, and several grandchildren and great-grand-children.

Mrs.Elgin Johnston

Mrs Elgin 'Helen) Johnston 68, of Whacker Trailer Court in Clifton.died at 1:25 a m today in Mesa Memorial Hospital. She was admitted to the hospital nine days ago.

The Johnstons came to Grand Junction from Mancos two years ago They had formerly lived in California. She was member of the Christian Science Church.

Mrs. Johnston was born in Portland. Ore., on Feb 5, 1892.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons. Ted, of Mancos, James of Berkeley, Calif., and Terry E., a chief radioman it the U.S Navy, stationed on the east coast: a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Davis, or San Francisco, Calif., and seven grandchildren.

Martin’s Mortuary well be in charge of arrangements.
