Rose Marie Mitchell

Rose Marie Mitchell, 67 of Longview, died February 7th 2003 at St. John Medical center.

She was born January 22nd 1936 in Cherryvale Kansas, to Royal W, and Gertrude (Bowler) Ryan
She moved to the local area 67 years ago,.

Mrs Mitchell worked as an aide at the Longview Library and retired as a caregiver in the mid 1990s, She was the foster parent to numerous children. She enjoyed nature, her children and grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her family felt, " The world would be a better place with more Roses in it"
Surviving her are two sons, Royal G. Mitchell Sr. of Longview and Kenny Maynard of Puget Island, three daughters, Dawn Marie Mitchell of Puget Island, Angel Rose of Cathlamet and Kimberly Mitchell of Kelso, a foster daughter Debbie Mase of Kelso, a brother Charles Ryan of Longview, four sisters, Londene Davis of Cathlamet, Hazel Compton and Cleo Steward , both of Missouri, and Elva Mae Scott of Longview and six grandchildren.

Her husband, Leroy Mitchell, died in 1969, a grandson Royal Mitchell Jr. died in 1984.

Arrangements are by Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens

LEROY GLEN MITCHELL

Funeral services for Leroy Glen Mitchell, aged 38, formerly of Newport, were held on Tuesday,. February 18 at 2p.m. at the Bateman Funeral Chapel.Interment followed In the Eureka Cemetery. Rev. Vernon Kanney of the Jehovah's Witnesses conducted the rites.

Mitchell was born In Cody, Wyoming, on September 8,1930 and died suddenly at his home in Seaside February 14, the
victim of. an apparent heart attack; He had been, a resident of Seaside for only a week. Mitchell was employed at Galither Motors when he lived In Newport, and moved to Astoria. before going to Seaside. Surveyors Include his widow. Rose Marie; his mother, Mrs. Lillian Mitchell of Greybul, Wyoming; and two children, Royal and Dawn Marie, both at home.
