MARY ETHEL ZISK

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ethel Zisk, late of Penrose, were held Wednesday morning, May 13, at Florence mortuary chapel. The Rev. Clyde Smith of Canon City officiated. Mrs. C. Edward Whitenett and Mrs. George Heaton, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. J. V. McCandless, sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow."
Mrs. Zisk died at a local hospital Sunday, May 10, at 5:50 a.m. She was born Jan. 12, 1895, at Orlando, Okla., and was 64 years of age. She had been ill the past 18 months. A resident of Penrose 15 years, she came from Cripple Creek, where she spent 15 years after living in Camargo, Okla., since she was a child.
Of the Methodist faith, she married Leo Zisk in Cripple Creek in 1944. He survives, as do eight children: Mrs. Winona Jones, Colorado Springs; Mrs. Aletha Cockburn, Penrose; Leo Roberts, Penrose; Mrs. Vonna Morris, Nye, Mont.; Mrs. Alma Donaher, Leadville; Mrs. Billie Ruth Faye, Cripple 'Creek; Mrs. Bobbie Jones, Colorado Springs and Mrs. Patsy Jo Simpson, Anaheim, Calif. Other survivors are five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Stepchildren surviving Mrs. Zisk are Mrs. Mary Beach, Canon City; Mrs. Teresa Jacobs, Denver; Chester Zisk, Manarovia, Calif., and Mrs. Louise Fleetwood, Ouray, Colo.; six step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Other survivors are two sisters: Mrs. Alma Coram, Camargo, Okla.; and Mrs. Melissa Nutter, Rose, Kan.
Pallbearers were Clarence Donaher, Thomas Faye, Guy Morris, Kenneth Jones, and Russell Jones, all sons-in-law; and Bert Bratt.
Interment was in Lakeside cemetery at Canon City, under the direction of Florence Mortuary.

Joseph “jody” Tuck family

*Joseph "Jody" Tuck the youngest child of John Henry Tuck was born in Buchanan Co., Mo. and died in Dewey Co., OK. He married Selety Neal in Buchanan Co. They had two daughters--Anna and Malissa. Selety and Jody divorced as Selety left Jody for a Mr. Riley of Buchanan Co. (The Tucks married into the Riley family at least twice, see above) later, Jody married Ellen Babb in Logan County, OK, and they had three daughters--Ethel, Jessie, and Alma. Jody "made the run in Indian Territory in Logan County then moved on to homestead in Okla Territory in Dewey County. Jody was a farmer and is best remembered by the early settlers as a Blacksmith.
