Catherine E. Pitts, age 76, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away March 11, 2000, in Aurora, Colo. Preceded in death by her husband, John W. Pitts; and her parents, George and Anna Mills. Mrs. Pitts is survived by her children, Jerold (Jean) Pitts, Springfield, Ore., Annette Prough, Aurora, Beverly (Dean) Dickinson, Westcliffe, Roger (Linda) Pitts, Avondale, and Alan (Julie) Pitts, Pueblo; as well as 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pitts was a volunteer with the Federation for the Blind in Pueblo and St. Mary-Corwin hospital surgical waiting room for 11 years. Funeral service, Wednesday, 1 p.m., Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice in her memory in care of the funeral home office.
