Radford Jesse Bristow, 78, of McAlester, died Sunday at a nursing home. He was a retired farm worker. Bristow was born Sept. 13, 1907 near Ashland. He was employed by the Bianco Fruit Corp. for 10 years and worked for over 41 years in agriculture. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bristow, in 1978, and a son, Herman Bristow, in 1962. Survivors include three brothers, Frank Bristow of Holdenville, James Bristow of McAlester and Earl Bristow of Abilene, Tex.; a daughter, Florence Clark of Wichita Falls, Tex., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mills Funeral Chapel with Rev. Herbert Smith and Rev. Elmo House, Jr., officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home. Songs will be sung by Bud and Glenda Dismuke, Buck and Jeanie Thetford, Ricky and Marolyn Sprague and Kenneth and Pat St. John. A solo will be performed by Kenneth St. John. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Wooley, Dan Moles, Henry Traut, C. B. Sutton, Charles Weeks and Bill Verner. Honoraries will be Dr. William E. Gupton, Ralph Taylor, Jim Kirkland, Tony Carano, Bill Wingo and J. D. Wright.
