After his service in the Army, he met and married Marylene Brown. They were married January 4, 1957. To this union six children were born; ALinda Darlene, Mary Ann, Marsha Jolene, Nancy Jean, Joel Lee and Ronda Marlene.
They moved to a farm west of Osceola in 1968. There they continued to raise their children and live for thirty four years before Marylenes passing in 2002.
Joe was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and one of the best friends any person was blessed to know.
He was a member of the painters union by trade. Joe also enjoyed his farm. He raised cattle. During the summer you could always find Joe putting up hay for his cattle. It was only in the last two years that Joe was forced to stop farming due to health issues. Joe also enjoyed his saw mill. He cut lumber on his personal saw mill for his own personal use and for many neighbors and friends.
Joe was an honest man. He would help anyone in need. He was also a generous man. His belief in our Lord and Savior was a true testament to the great man Joe was. He blessed many lives by his walk through Christ.
