1779 Leonard received a land grant of 616 acres North Carolina . For which he paid 50 shillings per 100 acres. May 27, 1788 he sold 127 acres to his son in law , william Dorris . In 1791, Leonard sold 150 acres to his son, William. In 1792 he and William sold 10 acres with a house to his son Thmas and was living with his son William. 1800 he sold 100 acres of his land to son William, and 111 acres , the last of the land grant, was sold to William Smith. Leonard moved to Tennesse in 1802, with his daughter Eleanor and her husband , William Dorris. Sumner County , Tennessee, Deed Book 6, page 23 , shows that Leonard Brown purchased 45 acres of land on the Caney Fork of Drakes Creek on January 22. , 1811. It was registered on September 21, 1811. Leonard gave these 45 acres to his son Robert on January 29, 1814. Robert Brown is the father of Jerimah Brown Sr. Jerimah Is the father of Hiram Brown. Hiram is the father of Queenie Ideller Brown Suttle. Queenie is the mother of Johnnie Lula Suttle Williamson. Johnnie is the mother of Ira Burton. Ira is the father of Jeanette. Jeanette is the mother of Georgia (me).
