John Davis Rhea

John Davis Rhea, 82, of Santa Fe, N.M., died Saturday following a 3-year illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Pioneer Chapel, with Gilbert Rictor, minister of The Church in Santa Fe, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon.

Mr. Rhea was a retired rancher in the Amarillo and Clarendon areas. He was associated with the JA Ranch for 35 years before his retirement in 1955.

He was a member of The Church in Santa Fe.

Survivors include his wife, Elanor; two sons, Max Rhea of Albuquerque and Beverly Rhea of Canadian; two daughters, Joan Gerner of Borger and Ramona Batchelor of Tulsa; two sisters, Beaula Bullock and Alice Rhea, both of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
