Notes for Nathaniel (Spouse 1)
Nathaniel was a Sergeant in Co. H, 3rd Missouri State Militia Cavalry, Union Army. He died while in service. Nathaniel enlisted on April 5, 1862 and died seven months later from disease while in service to his country.
Nathaniel was the first husband of Nancy (Johnson) Yingling Goodin (1840-1918). They were married in Mercer County, Missouri on May 31, 1860. He was the father of one child with Nancy - Perry Nathaniel Yingling. Nathaniel was the son of John James Yingling, Sr. and Hannah (Shaffer) Yingling.
I believe that Nathaniel is most likely buried in Yingling Cemetery with his parents and other family members in Mercer County, Missouri. The cemetery is on private property and not accessible by car and has basically been abandoned. Headstones may be difficult to find there at this point, unfortunately.
