Orville LeRoy Rector, the son of Ola and Anna M. Rector, was born August 7, 1911, in Barton County, Missouri, near Milford, and departed this life April 22, 1985 at Oak Hill Hospital, Joplin, Missouri at the Age of 73 years, 7 months and 15 days.

He grew to manhood in the community of his birth and on August 27, 1932, was united in marriage to Opal Darrah, at Butler, Missouri. To this union was born one daughter and two sons.
He lived for a time in Milford and then for a short while in California, returning to Milford, and then to Lamar and Golden City and Jasper, about 15 years ago he moved to Neosho to make his home where he spent the remainder of his life. He worked as an automobile mechanic most of his life.
A number of years ago he was converted and was united with the Baptist Church. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Golden City, Missouri at the time of his death.
He is survived by; his wife of Neosho, and his daughter, Roma Jean Vier of Kansas City, Missouri and two sons, Gary Rector of Jasper of Jerry Rector of Carthage. He also leaves one brother, Loren Rector of Nevada and 4 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.342
