Mrs. Cook Is Dead At The Age of 89

DESSIE, Aug. 25 - (Special) - Mrs. Hesseone D. Cook, 89, died today in the Frazier Christian Nursing Home in Fayetteville after a long illness.

She was born on Aug. 21, 1864, Rosedale, Braxton County.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Hall of Servia and Mrs. Herman Stump of Akron, O.; three sons, Letcher of Fayetteville, Ernest of Akron, O., and Dewey of Nitro; two sisters, Mrs. Prudence Boone of Mavis and Mrs. Esther Salisbury of Bomont; 25 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.

Service will be at 1 p. m. Thursday in Dessie Baptist Church, with Dr. James F. Frame officiating. Burial will follow in Cook Cemetery at Dessie, under direction of Dodd-Payne mortuary of Fayetteville.

The body will be removed to the church an hour before service.
