DALHART - S.W. "Sank" Johnson, 85, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Wood, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home Inc.

Mr. Johnson was born in Cordell, Okla., and moved to Dalhart in the 1920s from New Mexico. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church and a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for Southwestern Public Service for more than 37 years, and he was a volunteer fireman in Dalhart and a member of the Electrical Workers Union.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Cook, in 1972.

Survivors include a son, Alfred C. Johnson of Dalhart.
